sermons were preserved when those of most others were forgotten. From the Old Testament we have seventy-six sermons on Genesis, subdivided into two collections. The first consists of eight homilies on Genesis 1–3 with a ninth that ranges over the remaining chapters. The second collection covers the entire book, with much of the material from the first series repeated almost word for word.
